Thank you to all who donated money and food for
Thanksgiving Baskets. The Williams' SUV was full and $960 was
collected for turkeys!
Thank you for all the cards, emails, texts, phone
calls, Facebook postings, and journal postings. Elise, Rich
and I have felt the love! The first treatment started
November 17, and we will see in 12 weeks how successful it will
be! Blessings from our family!

Turn Your List in...to Jesus
|
"Put it on your list for Santa," I said to my
six-year old last week. His ears perked up with interest and he
asked, "How do I turn that in again?" This year he wants
to make sure Santa gets it. I said I thought there was a form
online.
What is on your list this year? What does your heart
want most? Are you willing to turn your list in, not to Santa, but
to Jesus and let Him give or remove what He will?
Christianity Today's 2015 Book of the Year is Jen Pollock Michel's Teach
us to Want (InterVarsity Press,
2015). In it, Michel points out that desire is not bad in and of
itself. Actually, God wired us up to want things. Wanting things is
not wrong. It's wrong to want the wrong things.
Can we submit our desires to Jesus? He will actually
change what we want. He can actually alter our desires to match His
goodness. He can change our hearts to want what is right and recoil
from what is wrong. Maybe all I really want for Christmas is a
changed heart. Turn in your list to Jesus and see what He wants to
do with it, and with you.
Merry Christmas!
Yours in Christ,
Tim
"Delight yourself in the
LORD, and he will give you the desires of your
heart." --Psalm 37:4

Small Groups
We believe that meeting regularly
with a small group of Christ followers is vital to growing in your
faith. That's why we offer many opportunities throughout the
week for members of EPC to meet together in small groups for
fellowship, caring, and Bible study. Contact Hubie Mann (hubie.mann@epres.org) if you have questions or need
additional information.
VBS 2016 - Save the Dates!
Next summer's VBS is scheduled for June 20-24.
Mark your calendars now and plan to join us for "Egypt: Joseph's
Journey From Prison to Palace" for another awesome week of
VBS! Online registration will begin in March. Last year, it
took 88 volunteers to staff our VBS program and we'll need just as
many this summer! If you'd like to be a part of this incredibly
fun outreach to the children of our community, please contact Hubie
Mann at hubie.mann@epres.org.

Hat, Scarf and Mitten Tree
|
It is time to decorate the Hat/Scarf/Mitten tree(s)
with all
the items you've been working on throughout the year (or
purchased). These items will be donated to MUST Ministries, providing
warmth for many children and adults for the cold winter months.
This is a wonderful opportunity to allow your children or
grandchildren to participate in this important ministry. There will
be a tree in the CLC lobby as well as the narthex/alcove of the
main building for you to hang your donations.
