Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women (PW) is an active and integral part of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Open for all women, the group provides a great way for women to feel a part of our growing church family. Whether it’s providing meals to church members in need, participating in missions work, or enjoying fellowship together, we have many opportunities to serve Christ and to develop strong friendships with each other.  PW has many new and fun activities planned for this year, including Smashed Potini Night and our first women’s retreat.

No dues are collected for membership in PW, but many women choose to pledge or give free-will offerings in order to fund our mission projects and activities, since we receive no funds from the church.

Listed below is information about circles and Bible study. We have activities during the day and in the evenings. If you are interested in attending one of our circles, please contact the circle leaders listed below. Monday Night Bible Study

This study meets on Monday 7:30-9:30pm at a member’s home. The group consists of women from other Christian churches, as well as,Eastminster. It involves small group discussion and often DVD presentations. They are currently studying Living Beyond Yourself by Beth Moore. Contact Sheri at sphar@comcast.net.

Circle of Friends (CoF)

Circle of Friends meets the second Wednesday of each month at 10am in the parlor. For the 2009-2010 year, we will be studying Contagious Joy of the Women of Faith Study Guide Series. For those who would like to attend but don't think you can because you don't have a sitter, we provide childcare! Thursday Evening Circle

Meets the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM in the church parlor. We are currently studying the Horizon study book, Joshua-A Journey of Faith. Circle leaders are Georgia Bentley:  gsbentley1@aol.com  or 770-321-8788 and Suzie Baur:  ladybug112@bellsouth.net or  770-321-0188.

Spunky Spirits

Meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 11:00 AM in circle members’ homes for a lesson and lunch. We are currently studying Discovering the Treasures of a Godly Woman. Circle leaders are Jane Merry:  jjmerry@bellsouth.net or 678-560-0218 and Nancy Speiser:  nancyspeiser@att.net or 770-642-7229.

Sharin’ n Carin’ Craft Circle -- “Together in Service”

Meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 10:00 AM in Room 6. All the projects that we produce are for missions. Past projects have included: hats & mittens for MUST, lap quilts for Presbyterian Village, book bags for local at-risk students, and hospital gowns to be used in the Congo.  We invite all women of Eastminster--all ages and crafting skills--to join us. Wednesday Morning Bible Study

This study meets every Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM in Room 202 of the CLC. This group is currently reading through the entire Bible. They are currently using “The Amazing Collection” as their resource. This fall they are studying the New Testament. They read and study a book every week/every other week. All women are invited to attend. Contact Allison Scholtens for additional information and class schedule.

Ladies Lunch Bunch

The Ladies Lunch Bunch meets the first and third Thursdays each month at 12:00 noon.  Look for information in the church bulletin or monthly newsletter, or you can call the church office (770-977-2976) for information regarding meeting locations.  Make plans for fun and fellowship over lunch.

2011 Women's Retreat

After much success with this year's spiritual retreat, the EPC women are already busy planning the 2011 annual event. We hope you will plan to join us February 4-6, 2011 for another amazing weekend full of worship, discussion, and fellowship guided by the Holy Spirit. Don't miss out!
