Activities for Children

One of the most cherished groups of people at EPC is the children.  We offer a variety of activities for them to feel part of the church community.  We encourage you to explore different parts of our website to learn more information.

Sunday Activities

On Sunday mornings we have a dedicated team prepared to teach the children about God, His creations, and His boundless love.  The Sunday School classes are divided by age groups, so be sure to view our Sunday School page for information about class times and locations.  We also offer childcare, Children's Church, and Kid's Bible Study on Sunday mornings.

Wednesday Activities

Before our Wednesday Night Dinners, the children get excited to exercise their most beautiful instrument in our choirs.  Please refer to the Music Ministries page to learn about the choir options and when they meet.  The congregation is always delighted when the children are scheduled to sing during our Sunday worship services.

After our Wednesday Night Dinners, the children can join together for Bible Skills, Drills, and Thrills.  Allison Scholtens and Walt Keller will be leading this 36 week study in which children in grades K-5 will learn the books of the Bible, the Bible divisions, ten key passages and how to find them. They will also learn eight Bible verses and how to apply them. In addition, they will study Bible stories, Bible history and Bible people in a fun format including games, puzzles, drama and crafts. This class will be meeting in Classroom 208 upstairs in the CLC. This class will be from 7-8pm every Wednesday evening.

Other Activities

Some of the most special experiences for our children are when they are baptized, go to First Communion class, and attend Confirmation class.  Additionally, we offer a variety of children's social activities.  During the school year, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts all meet in our church facilities.  Every fall we organize a Fall Festival, providing a day full of endless fun for children of all ages.  During the summer, dedicated staff and volunteers spend countless hours preparing a week full of education, music, and fun learning about God in our Vacation Bible School.  Throughout the year we organize many other holiday events as well -- Easter, Halloween, Christmas to name a few.
