EASTMINSTER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

News and Events for the Week of November 4, 2018

The menu for Wednesday Night Dinner this week is:
— We pledge and give to show our gratitude to God for the abundance he has placed in our lives. Please prayerfully consider submitting a pledge card for 2019. If you have turned in a card, then thank you. If you have not, then you can place in the offering plate or drop off to Lisa in the church office.
— If you are decorating a tree this year, you can pick up your lights on a Wednesday night, Sunday morning after the Traditional Service, and anytime from the main office beginning November 1. Lights will be in a large baggie, labeled with the tree number you have selected. Please have your tree trunk wrapped before Thanksgiving, or no later than Sunday, November 25. — Women of Eastminster, we invite you to our 3rd Annual Christmas Tea! You are invited to celebrate the season with food, fun and cookies! Please join us on Sunday December 9 at 12:30PM in the CLC for lunch and a time of fellowship. Invite your mother, daughter, sister or friend to come too! It will be a wonderful time to mix and mingle with your fellow sisters in Christ.
—Agape Way Christmas 2018
Agape Way’s 5th annual Christmas in the Streets event is upon us! Last year, they served 200 meals and provided over 100 kids with gifts through their Christmas shop, all thanks to the generosity of joyful givers like Eastminster. They are collecting toys, gift cards, and financial donations that will be used for gifts to stock the shelves for their Christmas Shop this year. Last year, they had several tables full of gifts that were arranged by age group, along with a gift wrapping station where parents could have the gifts wrapped. The kids they serve range in age from small babies to teens (1-18). The older teens typically appreciate the gift cards while the younger kids love the toys, of course! This shop allows parents to get gifts for their kids that they would otherwise be unable to provide them with. Everything collected is given away at no cost to the families they serve. Eastminster, we will have a collection box set up for gift donations beginning November 25. If you want to donate a gift card, or make a financial donation, please bring them into the main office. Agape Way’s Christmas in the Streets event will be on Sunday, December 23 at 11AM at the corner of Donald L Hollowell Pkwy and Lowery Blvd. Please feel free to contact Ashley Mordecai (678-520-0497), or John Speiser with questions.
