— Attention all writers: The theme for our 2018 Advent Devotional is “The Gift of Hope.” Writers of daily devotionals are invited to select a passage and share your personal reflection of faith based on scripture in a one page missive that includes the scriptural passage and a brief prayer. This is a beautiful Christmas tradition for our congregation, and you will be offering a gift of love to your fellow covenant members. Sign-ups begin October 1, and devotions are due by November 1. Contact Carolyn Waters, (678-522-3154) to reserve a date and scripture, or to request additional information.
— Thank you to all who came out and celebrated the launch of our new mission partnership with Children’s HopeChest in Guatemala! There are still more children who need sponsors. Please call the church office if you wish to join us in this life changing experience. If you signed up to sponsor a child, you can access your sponsor portal through our very own HopeChest link: eastminster.hopechest.org!
—  If you plan to have a booth at this year’s Fall Festival, we still have a few booths available. You can register here, and also pick up a form at the church office or email Sally Brentzel.
— Please help the college care team update their list of college students! Whether they are near or far, we would love to send them some caring thoughts and prayers from our Eastminster family. Contact Lisa Preikszas, to ensure that your student is on the list, with the proper address.  Thank you!
— We are going to replace the landscaping at the entrance of the church with brick pavers and elegant design. Individual pavers can be purchased as a memorial with your family’s name on it. This is the Eagle Project for Christopher Arcuragi. To purchase a memorial brick please contact the church or Christopher Arcuragi outside our services. Purchases can be made in check or cash, and each brick is $100.
— Craft Circle will meet Monday, October 8, in room 203 in the Christian Life Center from 10AM-1PM. We are looking forward to starting our Valor Squares. Judy Westerlage will be leading us on this project. You will need to bring your sewing machine with white thread. For our non sewers please bring scissors. If you have any questions please call Judy, (770-517-2189). See you in October!
