You can register here, and also pick up a form at the church office or email Sally Brentzel, (firstname.lastname@example.org).
— Please help the college care team update their list of college students! Whether they are near or far, we would love to send them some caring thoughts and prayers from our Eastminster family. Contact Lisa Preikszas, (email@example.com), to ensure that your student is on the list, with the proper address. Thank you!
— The Normal Christian Life: On Wednesday’s from 10-11:30AM, from September 5 to November 14, we are hosting a 10-week coed study facilitated by Pat MacPherson on the book The Normal Christian Life by Watchman Nee (a commentary on the first 8 chapters of Romans and Galatians 2:20). Class meets in room 206 in the CLC. A note from Pat: “I’m excited to host this study on Romans using the book The Normal Christian Life. This was one of three books introduced to me over ten years ago by my mentor, Wallace Francis, of the Atlanta Falcons as I was just starting MAC Ministries, a discipleship ministry for men. It was a challenging read as it brought to my attention that the “Normal Christian Life” is about Christ living through you (as opposed to me living for Christ). It truly was a focus from evangelism towards discipleship. A stronger look at, not just the forgiveness of sins, but the deliverance from sin that Christ gives us. Come join us on Wednesday mornings starting September 5 as we use this time to spur each other on in serving the Lord!”
— Are you looking for a fun and easy way to serve our wonderful teachers at Eastminster Preschool? Then become a Prayer Partner/Blessing buddy to intentionally lift up and pray for a specific teacher, staff member, or classroom throughout the school year. We hope to have a Prayer Partner for each of the 25 staff members. Duties include praying and email contact monthly. A great way to get involved with our church and preschool community! If interested, please e-mail JJ Griffin, (firstname.lastname@example.org) or visit epres.org/eastminster-christian-preschool to complete a survey of interest!
— New Mission Launch Event, Children’s Hope Chest In Guatemala: Our Outreach team and Session have joined into a new partnership with Children’s Hope Chest in Guatemala to spread the love of Christ to one of the most vulnerable areas for children in our hemisphere. Join us for a special Wednesday Night Dinner on September 5 to learn about our new mission partner and the opportunities to serve through child sponsorships, mission trips, and community development.
